About CNY-Naturalhistory	English (USA)
The Cortland New York Natural History list serve (cny-naturalhistory) encourages participation by all individuals interested in the multifaceted aspects of natural history in central New York. Participants are encouraged to report observations, disseminate information, ask questions, and participate in discussions on the biology, ecology, geology, environmental, and astronomical events in central New York. Examples of topics may include, but are not limited to, discovery and identification of fungi, arrival and behavior of monarch butterflies, reproduction and migration of salamanders, migration of birds, flowering and pollination of plants; discovery of fossils, minerals and rock formations, hydrology and aquifer flow, meteor showers and northern lights. Although we expect many of the discussions to focus on natural history phenomenon in and around Cortland County, we invite individuals to discuss topics of interest in the extended Central New York and Finger Lakes regions.
